How do I set up developer account for iOS?
Purpose
This guide is intended to help you set up an iOS Developer Account through the Apple Developer Program. An active developer account is required to publish your iOS app to the App Store and to enable features like push notifications, subscriptions, and analytics.
Steps: Setting up developer account
Register for an Apple Developer Account
Visit the Apple Developer Program and enroll as a company or organization.
You’ll need a D-U-N-S number and your legal business name (as registered with Dun & Bradstreet).
Set Up Bank and Payment Information
In App Store Connect, go to Agreements, Tax, and Banking and provide:
Bank account details (for receiving payments)
Tax identification information (e.g., W-9 or W-8BEN)
This setup is essential to enable paid app distribution and revenue collection.
Accept All Required Agreements
Log in to both the Apple Developer Portal and App Store Connect.
Accept all required legal agreements (e.g., Developer Program License Agreement, Paid Applications Agreement).
Register for Apple’s Small Business Program
Opt in to reduce the App Store commission from 30% to 15%.
Available to developers making less than $1 million in annual revenue and with an active paid membership.
Invite the Memorang Team
In App Store Connect, navigate to Users and Access > + Add User.
Add the following users with appropriate roles:
Admin (full account access)
App Manager (can manage apps, users, and submissions)
Developer (can manage certificates and provisioning)
App Manager or Admin (optional, depending on access needs)
Grant Access to Additional Developer Resources
Ensure Memorang team has access to:
Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles
TestFlight (for internal and external beta testing)
